The project stems from my need to bring my pictorial style into a story with darker and darker references, where I can bring my technique towards stronger and heavier contrasts. Right from the start I had selected water as the main theme, and then the sea, as I saw it as an excellent subject to represent with my technique. And it was then that, among poems, novels and songs, the story of Dino Buzzati, il Colombre, came into my hands.
